Sam Paredes, Executive Director of Gun Owners of California (GOC), will be the guest speaker at the May 2nd meeting of the El Dorado County Unit of the California Republican Assembly (CRA).
Mr. Paredes has been with Gun Owners of California for over 35 years and has served as Executive Director since 1998. He also sits on the Board of Directors of Gun Owners of America and Treasurer of the Gun Owners Foundation.
GOC is a non-profit lobbying organization formed to protect and preserve our Second Amendment rights in California. As a registered lobbyist, Paredes has testified in hundreds of legislative committee hearings and has advocated on behalf of the gun owners community before the California Fish & Game Commission, Department of Fish & Wildlife and Department of Justice.
Paredes has a long history of interviews on major media networks and in publications across the countr. He also serves as a co-host on the "Just Guns" radio show, which broadcasts twice weekly on Money 105.5 FM in Sacramento.
A native of California, Paredes resides in El Dorado County and has served as a volunteer firefighter and as a member of the local fire protection district.

The CRA meeting begins at 6:30 pm, at Denny's Restaurant in Placerville. This is a public meeting and guests are invited to join members for dinner, dessert or a beverage, ordered from Denny's menu.
