One person was seriously hurt Thursday afternoon when two vehicles collided in Shingle Springs, as per the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place at about 3:07 p.m. Thursday, March 22, on U.S. Highway 50 at Shingle Springs Drive exit and involved a gold Toyota Tundra and a Ford Explorer.
Firefighters responded to the scene and confirmed that one person sustained major injuries in the crash. An air ambulance was requested to the scene to transport the injured party, police said.
Information regarding the identity of the victim was not immediately released.
The incident remained under investigation.
