Good eats are hard to find these days of COVID-19 but innovative restaurateurs have adapted to these hard business times by going Curbside and Take Out.
But with such hard economic times, advertising dollars are short so many restaurants have adapted and are participating in a FaceBook group of local eateries. They tell about new hours, new menu items for Curbside & Pick-up and also for greatly expanded Take-Out menus.
There are about 5,000 members and the group is described as:
"A place for local restaurants, coffee shops and businesses share updates, curbside schedules, limited or specialty menus and more as we navigate our short term normal during COVID-19 precautions as a community. Add your friends, family and business owners!"
These are the kind of posts you will find at "El Dorado Curbside Restaurants:"
- "Are any of our local restaurants having any Valentine's Day specials for takeout?"
- "Love is in the air at Mediterranean Vineyards. Let us make Sunday easy for you with our Romance Box. Each gift box comes with a bottle of our Rosato Spumante"
- "Taco Tuesday!! at Paco’s Mexican Cuisine"
- "Hooverville Orchards, Valentines Day, If you want a Valentines Pie call you order in soon!!! Will be decorating the pies with lots of hearts!!"
- "Hello Placerville, EL Dorado County. I operate my small in home cupcake business in Placerville, and just wanted to hop on here and introduce myself."
- "Fondue 152, We're now offering heated and patio seating, beer, wine and mimosas, for dinner and weekend brunch "take-in."
- "Grizzlys Pub And Grub shared a post. LET US COOK FOR YOU, CARLOS IS YOUR CHEF TODAY"
This is a sample of some of the posts in the last 24 hours, in order of postings.
