SOME EL DORADO COUNTY GOVERNMENT OFFICES MODIFY OFFICE HOURS and PUBLIC ACCESS DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
(PLACERVILLE, CA) – Due to the most recent change in the State’s approach to fighting the COVID-19 virus by instituting a Regional Stay At Home Order, the following government offices have made additional changes to business operations:
• Assessor– Effective December 28th, both Placerville and South Lake Tahoe offices will be closed to the public on Mondays and Fridays with automated voicemail message instructions. The offices will be open normally on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
• Elections -- Lobby is closed to walk-ins; appointment only.
• Health and Human Services -- Self Sufficiency Program in South Lake Tahoe lobby hours are: Monday-Friday 1:00 pm-5:00 pm
Employment Resource Centers in Placerville and South Lake Tahoe are closed to the public
• Human Resources -- lobby hours are changed to Monday-Friday 10:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:00pm 3:00pm
• Libraries -- Cameron Park Library

The libraries with regular Saturday hours will be open the day after Christmas, December 26, 2020.
El Dorado County Historical Museum
The County Museum building and its in-house programs (Museum Exhibits and Research Room) remain closed to the public until further notice. You can visit the museum website to take a virtual tour to see the exhibits currently on display. You may also call the Museum for Research assistance and information.
• Treasurer-Tax Collector -- The Tax Counter is closed until further notice. However, the public can call 530-621-5800 if they want to make an appointment. The Treasury in open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 am To 11:30 am.
• Surveyor’s Office -- open to the public with a one-person at a time limit at the public counter.
