Placerville Arts Association is pleased to present the 53rd National Mother Lode Art Exhibition.  The juried show received over 350 entries from 127 artists through-out the United States. Entries have been accepted from 87 artists with studio locations through-out California and from other states including Oregon, Virginia, Hawaii and New York.

The show's juror of entries and judge, Margaret Welty, Folsom Lake College art professor, selected 103 pieces for the exhibit to be held from July 16 to August 4, 2019 at Sacramento Fine Arts Center in Carmichael, CA.

This year’s offerings include photography, mixed media, pastel, oil, acrylic, clay, scratchboard, block print, watercolor, encaustic, felt imagery and bronze.  Viewing opportunities will include Sandra Howell’s poignant mixed media piece “Before the Camp Fire”, “Major Mac V” from the popular El Dorado County scratchboard artist Shirley Isola, and “Looking for Lunch” a felt imagery piece by Ginger Summit.  Most art is for sale and may be purchased during gallery hours.
