On January 16, 2017, sex offender Alejandro Soto was sentenced to 32 years in state prison after being convicted of committing sex offenses against three minor children over a 5-year period.
The defendant pled guilty prior to trial, admitting four different charges of felony child molestation and felony dissuading a witness. After his conviction, Mr. Soto was sentenced by Judge Suzanne Kingsbury to an aggravated prison sentence for his crimes.
Mr. Soto will be eligible for parole in approximately 25 years. Once deemed suitable for parole, however, Mr. Soto will be subject to the possibility of continued confinement if he is determined to qualify as a Sexually Violent Predator.
